11. Scrollsaw Blade Choice
Choosing the correct blade for a particular application is critical to
successful scrollsaw use.
Record Power scroll saw blades are a premium quality range of blades made
in Germany. They have been specifically chosen to offer cutting solutions to
the vast array of possibilities a scroll saw offers and include both plain and
pin end types. Depending on blade thickness, width, tooth patterns and numbers, these
blades will cut a large number of materials, including hardwood, softwood,
MDF, plywood, plastic, non ferrous metals and horn.
NF Blades (Available in packs of 12)
These HSS skip tooth, plain end blades are ideal for faster cutting. They
give good chip clearance to minimise burning and create a smooth finish.

Featuring a spiral twist, these HSS plain end blades can cut in any direction
without the need to turn the workpiece. This is particularly useful for projects
that are too big for the throat depth of the scroll saw. They also allow for
pieces to be cut with the bevel running in the same direction all round.
