Position of the wheel guard can be adjusted. This feature allows using the angle grinder at
various angles with maintaining proper protection against flying broken pieces and
accidental contact with a wheel or sparks. It should be fitted so that its covering part faces
the operator whereas the uncovered part faces the workpiece.
To fit the wheel guard follow the below instructions:
1.
Place the angle grinder upside down on a workbench.
2. Remove the inner flange and lock nut if necessary.
3. Lift the quick release clamp on the wheel guard collar.
4. Put the wheel guard on the spindle.
5. Adjust the position of the guard so that its covering part faces the operator to prevent
the projection of sparks or dust towards him or her.
6. Close the quick release clamp to lock the wheel guard in place.
Fitting and removing wheels
WARNING.
ALWAYS use the wheel intended for recommended application (for example:
do not grind with the wheel intended for cutting) and the material of the workpiece.
Use wheels with appropriate diameter and mounting hole size (see Information about the
power tool).
To fit the wheel follow the below instructions:
1.
Make sure the battery is disconnected from the power tool.
2. Make sure the wheel guard is properly attached.
3. Keep the spindle lock button pressed.
4. Unscrew the lock nut using the included wrench. Release the button.
5. Fit or replace the wheel.
6. Replace the lock nut according to the type of the wheel used:
• for thick wheels, the protruding ring of the lock nut must face the wheel,
• for thin wheels, the flat surface of the lock nut must face the wheel.
7. Tighten the lock nut using the wrench while pressing on the spindle lock button.
8. Ensure the wheel is assembled and tightened correctly before use:
• release the spindle lock button and check if the fitted wheel rotates smoothly,
• connect the battery and operate the power tool with no load for at least 30 seconds in a stable
position.
To remove the wheel follow the below instructions:
• Keep the spindle lock button pressed and unscrew the lock nut with the included wrench.
• Release the button, remove the nut and the wheel.
Switching the power tool on and off
WARNING.
Prior to each use, check if the power tool is fully functional and the wheel has
no signs of damage.
MAINTENANCE
Before cleaning and maintenance, always switch off the power tool and disconnect
the battery.
Clean the casing regularly with a soft cloth, preferably after each use. Make sure that the
ventilation openings are free of dust and dirt. Remove very persistent dirt using a soft cloth
moistened with soapsuds. Do not use any solvents such as gasoline, alcohol, ammonia, etc.
Chemicals such as these will damage the synthetic components.
Clean the power tool before storing. Store the power tool, user manual and accessories in
the original packaging. Store the product in a clean, dry place protected from moist and
keep it out of the reach of children. Do not store the power tool in temperatures below 0°C.
Do not place or store any object on the top of the power tool.
• Press on the power switch and at the same time slide it forward to switch on the power tool.
• Release the switch to turn off the power tool.
Lock-on switch for continuous operation
ON/OFF switch with lock for continuous operation allows uninterrupted operation without
the need to keep the switch pressed. It is especially useful when using the power tool for
an extended period of time.
To lock the ON/OFF switch press it and simultaneously slide it maximally forward until it
locks in place. To release the lock, press the ON/OFF switch again.
Special condition for battery transport
The lithium-ion batteries contained in the power tool are subject to the dangerous goods
requirements. When preparing the tool to be shipped, it is mandatory to consult a specialist
in hazardous materials. Also observe any national/local regulations which is likely to be
more detailed. Tape terminals or mask them and pack the battery so that it does not move
in the package.
