Note:
Setting the optical audio output’s
PCM downsampling sampling rate
too high may result in unpredictable
audio playback. If you are not sure,
set the rate to 48kHz.

PCM Downsampling
If your player is connected to an audio receiver or
TV with an optical cable, you will need to select
the highest PCM sampling rate the amplifi er
supports.
If you
DO NOT
have a surround sound receiver
connected to your player through one of the
digital audio jacks (optical), select 48kHz.
Otherwise, select the highest sampling rate the
receiver supports. See the documentation that
came with the receiver.
There are 3 options (
48kHz
,
96kHz
and
Off
) are
available.
Digital Output
•
PCM 5.1
— Sends a PCM audio signal of up to
5.1 channels over the HDMI connection and up
to 2 channels over the optical connection.
•
PCM Stereo
— Sets the output to PCM Stereo
if you have not an audio receiver connected to
your Blu-ray Dsic player or the audio receiver
connected to Blu-ray Disc player is not a 5.1
channel receiver.
•
Bitstream HD
— Sends the original bitstream
from the disc over the HDMI and SPDIF
connections using highest quality possible.
HDMI has the higher quality capabilities with
advanced audio CODECs like TrueHD and DTS-
HD. Blu-ray audio is limited to the soundtrack
for the main moive (No PiP audio and no eff ects
audio).
•
Bitstream Legacy
— Sends the original
bitstream from the disc over the HDMI and
SPDIF connections using legacy audio formats.
Blu-ray audio is limited to the soundtrack for
the main movie (No PiP audio andno eff ects
audio).
•
Bitstream Mixed
— Sends mixed and encoded
Blu-ray audio streams in a single bitstream. This
mode is primarily intended for use with SPDIF
5.1CH receivers to produce mixed Blu-ray audio
in surround sound.
