Plug in the TV
Plug the end of the power cord on the back of the TV into an outlet, inserting the plug completely. Do
not plug the TV into an outlet controlled by a light switch.
Put Batteries in the Remote
• Remove the battery compartment cover from the back of the remote control by pushing the tab and
lifting off the cover.
• Insert 2 AAA batteries, making sure the polarities (+ and -) are aligned correctly.
• Replace the cover.
Turn on the TV
Turn on your TV by pressing the button on the side of the TV or the button on the remote control.
Using the Remote Control to Complete Initial Setup
You will need to use the remote control to complete the setup of your TV. The remote control allows
you to navigate through and select items that appear in the on-screen menus. The process works the
same on all menu screens: highlight your choice and select it.
To select a menu item, press the arrows (
/
) to highlight one of the items listed on the screen.
Use the up or down arrows (
) to move up or down. Use the right or left arrows (
) to view other
selections for a menu choice or to display a sub-menu. Press the
OK
button to confirm your selections.
Note:
Highlighted items stand out from other menu items on the list (appear darker, brighter, or a
different color).
