DIAGNOSTICS
A
System Diagnostic Mode
shown in Figure 2-5 - Figure 2-7 may be entered during
normal operation from the MAIN menu. The entry menu, shown below, offers useful
routines for testing front panel LED’s, relays, serial ports and analog I/O. It is exited
manually by pressing
Next
and automatically if no keys are pressed for 5
minutes. The unit will reboot when diagnostics is exited. It is very important
to understand that
CHANNEL INPUT DATA IS NOT PROCESSED DURING THE
DIAGNOSTICS MODE
. It is possible to miss important input values while
utilizing this mode and appropriate safeguards should be in place. However, the
Diagnostics Mode can prove invaluable when testing I/O since relays and analog outputs
may be stimulated without driving inputs to precise levels.

STANDARD RELAYS
STANDARD RELAY
allows manual actuation of the Standard Relays while in the
Diagnostic mode. Highlight the relay to be actuated and press

LEDs on the Main
I/O board confirm relay actuation.
