•
Insert and glue 4-6 toothpicks through the wing into the fuselage at different angles throughout
the length of the fuselage (Fig. 7).
•
Screw pushrod stoppers to the outer hole of the clevices. Screw the clevices to the top of the
ailerons and to the bottom of the elevator.
•
Lightly glue the servos to their locations in the fuselage.
•
Prepare pushrods. They should have a Z-bend on one end and straight on the other. The Z-bend
is inserted into the servo. The aileron pushrods are just wire. The elevator pushrod is a bamboo
skewer with two small pieces of wire glued to its ends and wrapped with thread.
•
Solder the male bullet connectors onto the motor and the female ones onto the ESC. Crimp a
JST connector onto the power leads of the ESC (if the connectors are not already on the ESC)
•
Enlarge the propeller hole to match the prop adapter size. Install the propeller
•
Attach the ESC to the front of the fuselage with a double-sided tape or Velcro. Attach the
Receiver as well.
•
Install a piece of Velcro to hold the battery better, add some Velcro to the batteries as well.
•
Hook all the electronics and power the system up, zero-out all trims.
•
Install the control rods into the outer holes of the servo control horns, screw the horns onto the
servos, insert the other end into the clevices and tighten the stopper screws.
•
Adjust the position of the battery so that the CG is 1.75" behind the leading edge.
