Quick-Fit Installation Instructions:
LED unit Installation:
1) Ensure LED unit is installed in a well ventilated area.
2) Adjust
horizontal
target area of the LED by adjusting circular mounting bracket.
3) Adjust
vertical
target area of the LED by loosening the two side screws on the central bracket before
adjusting to the required position.
4) To alter the angle of light projection using the Adaptive Illumination feature loosen the top bolt of the
lamp by a couple of rotations. Adjust the output angle of the LED units until the required illumination is
achieved then securely fasten the top bolt again.
CAUTION
: DO NOT FULLY LOOSEN THE ADAPTIVE ILLUMINATION BOLT.
5) Retighten all fixings and ensure lamp is securely held in position.
6) Do not continually stare at the LED unit from less than 1.5m during operation.
7) For 200, 100 and 50 series units (RAYMAX IR and RAYLUX WL) ensure that both LED units are
connected to the PSU before turning on.
8) For 300 series units (RAYMAX and RAYLUX) ensure all three LED panels are connected to the PSU
before turning on.
9) For best results, set up should be done at night so results can be viewed on a CCTV monitor.
PSU unit Installation:
10) Ensure power supply is mounted securely to a flat external surface in a well ventilated area, externally.
11) Isolate the mains supply at all times whilst the lid is removed from the PSU.
12) Wire mains input and LED outputs as shown below. Check the legends on the PSU.
13)
CAUTION
: LED output is polarity sensitive. Black = negative (-ve). Red = positive (+ve).
14)
CAUTION
: For 200, 100 and 50 series units (RAYMAX and RAYLUX) connect
both
LED units before
initializing PSU.
15)
CAUTION
: For 300 series units (RAYMAX and RAYLUX) ensure
all three
LED panels are connected to
the PSU before turning on.
16) Photocell Control & Telemetry -The PSU is set-up for automatic photocell operation. If you require
external telemetry input use the terminals shown on the diagram. The photocell overrides telemetry
function so that lamps cannot be operated during the day. Telemetry input should be a zero volt, latched
input. If no external telemetry input is required, ensure there is a wire link across terminals.
Telemetry link:
short circuit=lamp enabled (operated by photocell)
open
circuit=lamp
disbled
(permanently
off)
17) Photocell Adjust – The sensitivity of the photocell can be adjusted by the pot shown on the diagram. It is
factory set to approximately 20 Lux on, 40 Lux off.
18) To disable photocell operation wire both leads into one terminal. Note, do not insert a short circuit link
between the terminals.
19) Power Control – Output power of the LED unit can be controlled by adjusting the pot as shown. Each
unit is factory set to maximum power.
20) Ensure the power supply enclosure is fully sealed and watertight before operation.
Premium Functions: (Premium Power Supply Only)
18) 12v dc output is available to power camera etc. See connection diagram below. This connection is
polarity sensitive Black = negative (-ve). Red = positive (+ve). Maximum output 500mA.
19) Photocell following contact – see connections below. This is a volt free connection, but is not polarity
sensitive.
