KEY NOTE
As it would be virtually
impossible to accommodate
all levels of integration into existing
entertainment systems, these instructions
should be viewed as a basic procedural
outline. Your application may require a
different approach depending on existing
vehicle accessories.
WARNING
Wires sheathed in brightly
colored plastic/PVC, usually
yellow or orange, are indicative of airbag
circuits. Do NOT disturb these wires. If
in doubt, call Customer Service before
continuing.
Once all of the system cables have been
connected, the following steps will inform
you of different methods of connecting
power from the vehicle to the IDU.
WARNING
The following procedure MUST
be completed ONLY with a
digital multi-meter (DMM). Failure to do
so could result in serious injury, damage,
airbag deployment, or a short circuit.
CAUTION
Before attempting to connect
the power for this system, you
must ensure that the vehicle is turned
off and that the negative terminal is
disconnected from the battery. Failure to
do so may cause electrical shock, fire or
personal injury.
CAUTION
Only a trained and experienced
technician in automotive
electrical systems familiar with the type
of vehicle should attempt power cable
connection.
