Additional Items You Need 

To use your modem, you need the following additional items:

All users

: an RS-232 cable to connect a data terminal. The cable 

must conform to the pin assignments shown on page 29. 

™

 

Standalone modem users

: a two- or four-wire transmission line or 

leased line and power supply. 

™

 

Rack-mount modem users

: a modem rack with an available slot for 

installing the modem.
