Heating Cable Installation
• Secure the spacers in place with the
aid of suitable nails or nuts and bolts.
On a sand asphalt substratum, hot as-
phalt or bitumen can be used instead
to fasten the spacers.
• The laying spacing for the metal strip
should be approximately 0.5 m.
Maintain the given
laying spacing.
Spacer (prestamped
metal strip)
± 0.5 m distances be-
tween the metal strips
Connections (connection
lead to heating cable)
Maintain a minimum
distance of 50 mm
from obstructions.
• Refer to the layout drawing and choose
a starting-point which both cables will
return to.
• Unroll the heating cable carefully, with-
out twisting or distorting it. Take care
not to damage the outer jacket.
Keep the roll fl at (horizontal) as
you unroll it.
