BEFORE FIRST USE
Before first use, rinse the kettle and boil water in it several times (min 3 x), using clean water for each cooking
cycle and filling the kettle to the top of the label.
Place the base on a stable and level surface.
Pour the required amount of clean water into the kettle. Do not touch any parts of the kettle except the handle
when the appliance is working; make sure the lid is properly closed. You may check the amount of water on the
level indicator on the outside of the kettle.
Always fill the appliance above the specified minimum level. Never fill the appliance above the specified
maximum level.
Always make sure that the lid is properly and tightly closed.
Place the kettle on the base so that the bottom of the kettle fits precisely to the base.
Insert the plug into the wall socket.
Set the switch to position “I” (on) to start the heating process; the indicator light will go on.
When the water is boiled, the switch automatically returns to the position “O” (off), and the indicator light goes
off. The kettle may also be switched off manually by turning the switch to “O.”
If the appliance switches off before the water is boiled, the kettle should be decalcified, descaled.
In order to remove the scale, you may use any descaler.
Please follow the instructions provided by the manufacturers of descalers.
After descaling, the kettle should be thoroughly washed like before first use.
Should you accidentally let the kettle operate without water, the boil-dry protection will automatically switch
off the power. If this occurs, allow the kettle to cool before filling with cold water to reboil.

surfaces in contact with food use a cleaning agent provided for such surfaces. Follow the guidelines of the
