Therefore, 10 kg/min of material must be discharged.
Conduct calibration test in the following steps:
1. Place foil under spreader
2. Lower hydraulics, place spreader at lowest setting
3. Bring spreading width limiter to bottom position
4. Set quantity stop as per spreader table or by experience
5. Start tractor engine and engage PTO shaft (note PTO speed).
6. Open both metering slides with quantity adjustment lever to the specified quantity stop.
7. Run calibration test for exactly 60 seconds.
8. Close metering slide, disengage PTO shaft, stop engine and remove ignition key.
9. Compare spread quantity with specified quantity. If the quantity is too much or
too little select a different metering slide position and repeat calibration test.
Warning
Beware of rotating machine components during the calibration test (broadcast disc,
stirrer, universal drive shaft). Conduct tests and make adjustments only when the
PTO shaft is disengaged, the engine is stopped and the ignition key removed.
