PRE-OPERATION CHECK:
Before starting the generator, check the following points:
2.1 Engine’s oil level

CAUTION:
Engine oil is a major factor affecting engine performance and service life.
Start the engine without oil or in a too low level can cause serious breakdown in the engine.
Check the oil level with the generator on a level surface with the engine stopped and cold.

NOTE:
Remove the oil filler cap and wipe the dipstick clean. Check the oil level by inserting the dipstick
into the filler neck without screwing it (see drawing in recommended oil chart below).
Fill the oil in the engine through the filler neck up to the level left between the two marks of the
dipstick.
Recommended oil chart :
2.2 AIR filter.

CAUTION: Do not start the engine without air filter. This will cause a quick wearing out in of
the engine.
2.2.1 SEMI-DRY filter element:
Check that air filter components are clean and in good conditions.
Clean and replace components if necessary.

CAUTION: The foam filter element must be wet of oil (SAE10). If it is dry it will not filter
the dust.
