STEP FIVE:  Lighting Instructions and Operation.

 

 

IMPORTANT:  CHIMNEY DAMPER MUST BE WIDE OPEN

 

 

 

MANUAL MATCH LIGHTING. 

(For use only with Natural Gas Burner Models LD (30X, 36, 48, 60, 72, 4, 96)-N)

 

1. Place lighted match on embers near inlet end of burner.

 DO NOT HOLD MATCH IN HAND!  

Move away from front of fireplace. 

2. Slowly open 

FIREPLACE GAS SUPPLY VALVE

 and wait for burner to light. (See FIGURE 7) 

3. Adjust 

FIREPLACE GAS SUPPLY VALVE

 for desired flame height. 

4. 

Adjust front burner with attached manual valve(s)

 to provide desired ember/flame effect.  Note: The natural gas versions of 

LD30 and LD36 have one front burner valve; LD48 and LD60 have two.  The propane versions of all models have fixed front burner
