BUDDY REEL ISSUES - HOW TO DIAGNOSE
Use the below chart to help diagnose and fix issues in the field.
My Buddy Smart Reel
is not working!
Do you have power to the reel?
Is the panel coming on?
Does the reel work
when pressing the
right angle button
(ENTER) on the
panel, yet not with
the remote?
With the wire
harness kit at the
plug, do you have
the black to black
and red to red? If
not, correct that.
Are you able to
check if power
is getting from
the switch to the
motherboard?
Is the fuse
in the line
okay?
If the fuse is
blown, that is
the issue and
needs to be
replaced.
Remote needs
to be paired or
repaired to the
reel. Follow the
“How to pair my
MyPace remote
to my Reel”
instructions.
There may be something
that has come unplugged.
Remove the panel and
check the wires. If nothing
there, check the 9-pin
plug from the panel to the
motor.
Optional to
send the panel
back to Rapid
Spray for
testing.
Is there power
getting to the
motherboard?
Motherboard
will need to be
replaced.

need to be
replaced.
