The spray pattern of fan atomizers is adjustable
from a small circle to an elongated oval, ap-
proximately 10 to 18 inches of usable pattern
when sprayed from a target distance of 8 to 12
inches. The swirl atomizer assemblies produce
a round pattern from 5 to 9 inches in diameter.
The fan control knob provides control of the pat-
tern shaping air. Counterclockwise expands
the pattern and clockwise reduces it. To
change the spray pattern axis of fan atomizers
from horizontal to vertical, loosen the retainer
ring, rotate the air cap clockwise to the desired
position, and gently tighten the ring.
>
A counterclockwise turn of the air cap
may loosen the fluid nozzle and cause air
to get into the paint or paint to cross over
into the air passages.

Hold the gun 6 to 12 inches maximum from the
target for best operation (higher transfer effi-
ciency will be achieved at the closer target dis-
tance). Trigger the gun fully to operate.
