7. Troubleshooting
Before calling for service, please first read the following table: this could save you time and money.

“Failure” Warning
Appears when one or more of the refrigerator
parts fail or there is a problem in the cooling
system.
Call a service agent for assistance as soon as
possible.
LF
Freezer compartment is not cold
enough
This warning especially appears if there has
been a power failure for a long period or
when the refrigerator is operated for the first
time.
1. Use food within a short time period. Do not
freeze foods that has thawed.
2. Set the freezer temperature to colder
values or set the Super Freeze until the
compartment gets to normal temperature.
3. Do not put fresh food in the appliance until
the fault has cleared.
LP
“Low voltage” Warning
Freezers switches to standby mode when the
voltage supply falls below 170 Volts.
This feature prevents the compressor from
damage due to low voltage. The freezer
will start operating automatically when the
voltage restores to the required level.
If you are experiencing a problem with your appliance, please check
the following before contacing the after-sales service.
Only a qualified service engineer should service the appliance and
only approved spare parts should be used.

Isolate the electricity supply before carrying out any
maintenance.
Your freezer does not operate
Check if:
•
There is power.
•
The plug is connected to the socket correctly.
•
The socket fuse or the mains fuse has blown.
•
The socket is faulty. To check this, plug another working
appliance into the same socket.
Your freezer is performing poorly
Check if:
•
The appliance is overloaded.
•
The doors are not closed properly.
•
There is any dust on the condenser (
Fig. 7.1
).
•
There is not an adequate distance between the
appliance and surrounding walls. Please refer to
Installation chapter.
