Installation
Fasten Black Power Module to a suitable location in the vehicle, if possible as close as possible to the
iPaul amplifier and to the auto body, with included sheet metal screws and insulated washers.
Caution: Before connecting the Black Power Module to the iPaul amplifier power off the amplifier!
This work requires expertise and should be performed with careful consideration to the
relevant safety regulations.
Remove Black Power connector covering on iPaul amplifier and on Black Power Module itself. Connect
iPaul amplifier and Black Power Module with provided cable only and pay attention to correct polarity.
Printings on the connectors and side panels of the iPaul amplifier and the Black Power Module show the
correct polarity (Figure 1). In case the connecting cable is too long it can be shorten. Do not lengthen
the connecting cable as this has a negative result on the Black Power Module performance.
Caution: Important Safety Notice Concerning Risk of Fire and Injury.
Pay attention to correct connector polarity on iPaul amplifier and Black Power Module. By
shortening the cables it is mandatory to pay attention to the correct re-connection of the
cables to the connectors. Interchanging the cables can cause serious damage to the Black
Power Module or to the iPaul amplifier.
Never disconnect the connection cable during operation as the high currents can cause
electric arcs between the contacts and can damage the contacts heavily.
Never touch the connectors of the iPaul amplifier or Black Power Module with any metallic or
conductive item. Extreme high short circuit currents can cause fire or burn injury!
