Installation Information
Rainbow Sound Line component systems are high quality car hi-fi systems which can be operated with any
commercial amplifier. To guarantee the best acoustic reproduction we recommend the use of a power amplifier of
at least 15 watts. The sensitivity of Rainbow loudspeakers makes an enormous volume of sound possible, even with
lowest input power.
Special adaptations to various cars and the use of selected parts in the crossovers are details of our SLC-Systems.
Thermal protection in the tweeter range is as important as the fundamental 12 dB slope in each range. It is Rainbow
standard to provide the SLC systems with complete mounting hardware. To give your car a "factory look" you have
the possibility to paint the loudspeaker grilles and mounting rings in any colour before the installation.
Additional information for X-Plain-Sets
Attention:
This extreme flat loudspeaker system is designed for small mounting depths in car-doors and packages and should
be operated with a highpass (between 60 Hz and 80 Hz 12dB/oct.).
By using a High-Pass the Maximum-load of the speakers can be increased and the best performance and the long
life of the woofers is guaranteed.
Please follow these suggestions for an undisturbed sound-reproduction without disappointment.
Caution:
In the High-Pass-mode a Subwoofer is absolutely necessary!!!
Spacer ring (only CS 265 X-Plain):
The spacer-rings should generally be installed between the speaker and the covering. They reduce the pulse-change
or bass-pulse deformation and lessen the pulse-distortion at the connection between the speakers and the bodywork.
