Notes
>>
Alteon issues messages regarding throughput limits to the console, Telnet, SSH
interfaces, and syslog.
>>
Alteon issues messages when the current throughput is approaching the limit of the
throughput licence. The severity of this message in syslog, for example, is LOG_ALERT.
You can configure the threshold at which the device starts sending these messages. The
value for the parameter is a percentage of the maximum throughput. Values: 0, 1–99
(0—the device never sends the messages). Default is 90.
>>
Alteon issues messages when the current throughput has exceeded the limit defined by
the license. The severity of this message in syslog, for example, is LOG_CRIT. The
frequency for these messages is determined by the throughput-threshold detection
interval, which you can configure. Values: 1–1440 (minutes). Default is 1 (minute). If,
during any one interval, the threshold is reached and then goes back to under the limit,
the device still sends a message when the interval elapses.
>>
Alteon Application Switch issues messages when throughput returns to below the limit.
