17.7.1 Density determination procedure
Density determination of solids can be carried out by means of two pre-defined
types of liquids or user-defined liquid of specified density:
•
WATER
(distilled water),
•
ETHANOL
(spirit 100% +/- 0.1% in temp. 20
0
C),
•
OTHER
(another liquid of specified density).
Density determination consists in weighing a sample in the air first and in the liquid
next.
When determining density in water or alcohol it is necessary to specify their
temperature first.
When determining density in another liquid, it is necessary to enter its density value
using keyboard.
Procedure:
•
Install the density determination kit.
•
Enter <DENSITY OF SOLIDS> function.
•
Prepare a sample.
•
Initiate the process.
•
Following the displayed messages insert the process setup.
•
Select liquid.
