Resetting the Scanner

Caution: 

This procedure clears all the information 

you have stored in the scanner. Before you reset 
the scanner, try turning it off and on to see if it 
begins working properly. Reset the scanner only 
when you are sure it is not working properly.
1.   Turn off the scanner. If you cannot turn off the 

scanner, remove the battery and install again.

2.   While holding down

, turn on 

the scanner. 

Initializing…Please wait 

appears as 

the scanner clears its memory.

Note:

 Do not turn off the scanner again until 

Initializing…Please wait

 disappears. Otherwise, 

the scanner might not clear its memory properly.

even when it is operating properly. To determine 
whether your scanner is causing the interference, 
turn off your scanner. If the interference goes 
away, your scanner is causing it. Try the following
