Your radio comes with a 3.6V, 300 mAh, Ni-
MH rechargeable battery pack that can be
recharged using the dynamo crank.
1.
On the back panel of the radio, switch
DYNAMO/
BATTERY
to
DYNAMO
.
2.
Lift the crank
and rotate it in
either direction.

when charging.
Charge time
depends on
cranking rate and
duration.
For example, turning the crank at about
2 turns per second for about 90 seconds
should power the radio for about 10
minutes. If playback time decreases to less
than 5 minutes at this cranking rate, replace
the rechargeable battery pack.

battery pack when you use your radio. Insert the
battery pack plug into the connector, then place
the battery pack in the slot.
You can power your radio in three ways:
•
Dynamo power using the included
rechargeable battery pack
•
Three AA batteries (not included)
•
5V DC Micro-USB adapter (not included)
Install Batteries (Optional)
Insert 3 AA
batteries (not
included) into
the battery

.
Battery Notes:
•
Dispose of batteries promptly and properly.
Do not burn or bury them.
•
Use only fresh batteries of the required size
and type.
• Do not mix old and new batteries, different
types of batteries (alkaline or rechargeable),
or rechargeable batteries of different
capacities.
•
If you do not plan to use the radio for a long
time, remove the batteries. Batteries can
leak chemicals that can damage electronic
parts.
Use a Micro USB Adapter (Optional)
You can listen to the radio and
charge the radio’s battery pack at
the same time. Connect a 5V DC
Micro-USB adapter (not supplied)
to the
DC IN
jack. Using this
method, the battery pack requires
about 12 hours to fully charge.
Notes:
•
Your adapter must supply 5V DC and deliver
at least 500mA. Its plug must fit your radio’s
5V jack. Using an adapter that does not meet
these specifications could damage your radio
or adapter.
•
Batteries should NEVER be left unattended
while charging. Only adults should charge
the batteries. Use caution when using the
charger to avoid electric shock.
•
Do not disassemble the charger or battery
pack. Incorrect assembly can result in risk of
electric shock or fire.
