1. Slide the pager out of its holster and be sure the
power switch (
) on the side of the pager is set
to off (
l
).
2. Slide the battery cover latch away from the cover
to unlock it, then slide off the cover in the direc-
tion of the arrows marked on the cover.
3. Place a battery in the compartment according to
the polarity symbols (+ and –) marked inside.
4. Replace the cover and slide the cover latch
toward the cover to lock it.
When battery power becomes low, an alert tone con-
tinuously sounds,

–
CELL
appears, and
flash-
es on the display. To stop the alert, press either
button twice.
stops flashing and
Lo
–
Cell
dis-
appears.
