4.4 Starting up the boiler
Once the system has been filled, proceed as follows:
•
Check that the exhaust duct is free from obstructions
and correctly connected to the flue exhaust system.
•
Remove the front panel (see 6.3 ‘Accessing the
boiler’);
•
Unscrew the screw of the gas pressure point no. 2
(fig. 1), and insert a pressure gauge;
•
Switch on the power supply to the boiler;
•
Open the gas feed valve;
•
Use button
to select the SUMMER/WINTER
mode. The symbols
will light up (fixed light) to
indicate the selected operation mode;
•
The closure of the room thermostat contact will then
light the burner.
•
In case of flame failure, the ignition system repeats
the ignition procedure after the fan-overrun cycle (20
sec). It may be necessary to repeat the operation in
order to remove all the air from the pipes. To repeat
the operation, wait approximately 5 seconds from the
last ignition attempt before resetting the error code
E01
(pressing the reset button
‘
’);
•
Check minimum and maximum gas pressure setting
values. Make sure that they comply with those stated
on the gas data plate (see paragraph 5.4 ‘Gas Data’
Gas pressure adjustment table):
to check the maximum gas pressure value, turn
ON the hot water tap at the maximum flow and check that the maximum pressure value corresponds to that
stated on the gas data plate ;
to check the minimum gas pressure value, turn OFF the hot water tap and select WINTER mode, the
pressure gauge will show the minimum gas pressure value for 10 seconds;
•
If gas pressure setting values are not the same as those stated on the gas data plate, calibrate the pressure
again (see paragraph 5.3 ‘Gas Valve adjustment
’
);
•
once the calibration procedure has been completed, use button
to select the OFF mode visualised by
symbol
, close the gas feed valve and remove the pressure gauge from the gas pressure point (fig.1).
Tighten the screw making sure there are no gas leaks.
•
To starting up the boiler, open the gas feed valve and use button
to select functioning mode requested.
