race face recommends that you have your new race face wheels installed and maintained by
a qualified bicycle mechanic.
• Your new Race Face wheels need to be installed and secured to your bicycle properly. Check that
the wheels are fastened securely before riding your bicycle. If the wheels are loose or improperly
installed they may come off the bicycle and serious injury may result.
• Make sure the wheels quick release or through axle is working correctly and properly secured
before each ride. Ask your dealer to help you if you do not fully understand the proper use of the
wheels fasting system
• This mountain bike wheelset is made for XC and trail riding only. Do not use it for riding outside
of these styles, such as lift accessed downhill riding.
• Do not use a wheel if there are bent or loose spokes, dents or cracks on the rim surface. Inspect
the wheels before each ride for any damage.
• These wheels are for use with DISC brakes ONLY.
Do not attempt to use these wheels with rim
brakes.
• Race Face wheels do not come with reflectors. Check the laws in your local area in regards to
reflector requirements. Be sure to ride safe and use proper bike lights when riding at night

9 and 10 speed cassettes
• 27.5(650b) or 29” tires (1.9 – 2.4” tire width max)
• Disc brakes running with 6 bolt IS rotors

Presta value tubes
• Front Wheel: 15x100mm thru-axle or 5x100mm quick release (using alternate end caps)
• Rear Wheel: 12x142mm thru-axle (stock), 10x135mm thru-axle, or 5x135mm quick release
(using alternate end caps)

rIm tAPE/tIrE InstALLAtIOn **

Your race face wheels should come with a standard rim tape installed, we recommend using this
rim tape as it has been designed to specifically work with our rims.
• If you are looking to run your Race Face wheels as tubeless you will need to use the Race Face
MTB Tubeless Conversion Kit (sold separately)
• Before mounting up tires, be sure the rim strip is centered on the tire bed around the rim and also
be sure the rim strip and the rim’s value hole are fully aligned.
•
follow the tires manufactures mounting instructions, being sure to only use proper tire mounting
tools and taking care to not exceed the maximum tire pressure as marked on the tire sidewall.
**NOTE: Refer to your manufacturers’ instructions for cassette, brake rotor, quick release and
thru-axle installation. Failure to follow these instructions voids warranty coverage on the Race Face
wheels and can lead to product failure and possible rider injury.
