4. Push the child restraint firmly into the
vehicle seat while removing slack
from the vehicle belt
(Fig. E).
5. Attach the top anchorage
connector
to
the designated tether anchor. Remove
all slack from the top anchorage strap
to secure. Store excess webbing by
rolling it up and use the Velcro strap to
secure the roll.
6. Verify that the vehicle belt is tight, and
the child restraint is secure.

The child restraint is secure when it
cannot be moved front-to-back or side-
to-side more than 1 in. (2.5 cm) at the
belt path. If the child restraint is not
secure, repeat this process or use an
alternate seating location.
