Lock
Lock explanation
Your bike is equipped with an ART certified ring lock.
The ring lock can be closed by turning the key in
clockwise direction while turning the bracket down.
Take the key from the lock when you have reached the
lowest position with the bracket. It is possible to buy an
additional cable lock that is compatible with your ring
lock at your local dealer.
Remember to take a picture of the key number
or write it down on page number 42. In case
of loss you will be allowed to order a new key
with this number.
Belt tension
Proper belt tension is key to optimal performance.
If the belt is too tight, it can cause drag and damage
the hub. If the belt is too loose, the belt can skip teeth
and slip. If you notice either one of those two, the belt
tension should be improved. Contact your dealer.
Replacing the belt
Under normal circumstances the belt will last a lot
longer than regular chains. However, eventually also a
belt will wear. If the sprocket is showing signs of wear
or if tooth are missing on the belt it could be a sign that
the belt is ready for replacement. This will be carefully
observed by your dealer during maintenance checks.
It is important to properly align the belt. If the
alignment is not perfect, the belt can wear
more quickly and cause noise. The belt can
not be pried or pushed of the chainwheel like
regular chains. Only let an accredited dealer
service your belt drive.
