PROTECTING AGAINST ELECTROSTATIC DISCHARGE
Electrostatic discharge (ESD) can harm the Quilla. Under certain conditions static may build up in your body
or the ePen touching the display.
To protect the equipment against harmful ESD it is recommended to discharge your body to a grounded
metal object before you handle Quilla or its components.
POWER SAFETY
Ensure the following guidelines are met before connecting Quilla to an electrical outlet:
1.
Ensure Quilla is installed near a socket outlet and that the outlet is easily accessible. If you do not have a
socket outlet nearby, have your electrician install one.
2.
Read the power options before you power on Quilla.
3.
Ensure there is no visible, physical damage to any wiring, enclosures or connectors. If any of the
components are damaged, do not plug Quilla into a power source.
4.
Ensure that the voltage rating and frequency available at the power source is in accordance with the
provided AC/DC switching power adapter.
5.
Use only the supplied AC cord and power supply.
6.
Connect the DC connector first at the back of the unit, before connecting the AC cord into a power
source.

Do not replace the power adapter. For system safety use only the adapter supplied by
QuirkLogic.
