Section IV - Operating Procedures
Calculator Utility -
The calculator utility will calculate an
estimate of the total capacity of the system
and the pressure decay that may be
expected over a specified time interval.
This information can assist in setting the
restart point on the compressor if it should
unload.
From the calculator utility screen, select
Pipe Calculations to find the overall volume
of the piping in the system.
Once the required information is entered
on this screen, return to the settings
calculator, enter the rest of the required
information and press ‘Calculate’. (The
dark grey squares require information,
the white squares show the results of the
calculations.)
notiCe!
Rated CFM is the compressor’s
maximum output. Demand is the plant
usage as a % of the maximum. Dcy is
the blow-down time of the sump (in
minutes).
These are only suggested settings, and
are to be used as a guide in configuring
the compressor to a stable operating
condition.
The ? button brings up this information
screen.
