Operating Instructions
Operating Notes & Warnings:
• Warning: DO NOT attempt to stack blocks under the jack’s foot. This will not safely increase the height of the jack.
• Warning: DO NOT retract the jack past the STOP limiting mark, damage to the jack may occur.
• Warning: Before driving ALWAYS completely retract the jack and remove the foot or position it in the highest position.
• Warning: DO NOT insert manual handle without disconnecting jack from power source.
• Under heavy use, the motor may switch off if the circuit breaker opens. The circuit breaker will automatically reset in 15-
30 seconds. Release the operating switch, wait for the circuit breaker to reset, and resume use.
• In case of power loss, disconnect jack from power source, remove the round plastic cap on the top of the jack, insert the
included manual crank and rotate to extend or retract.
• Helpful Hint: Turn light switch ON in low light or for night hookups.
Extension
1. Park the trailer.
2. Block or chock the wheels.
3. Before using the jack, attach the foot with the 3/8” locking pin.
4. Extend the jack by pushing the operating switch UP.
Retraction
1. Push the operating switch DOWN to retract the jack.
2. The jack will slow as it approaches the retracted position. Release the switch at first sign of slowing.
Maintenance
The jack motor is sealed and maintenance-free. It is important to maintain the electrical system. Ensure all connections are
tight and free of corrosion and that the jack is properly grounded with the coupler (metal-to-metal contact). Make sure the
battery is fully charged prior to use. If necessary, wash thoroughly with mild soap and water. Do not direct high pressure
spray at the jack.
Installation Instructions
Read all information included on page 1 before beginning installation.
1. Compare the lift capacity of the jack to your trailer to ensure safe operation.
2. Block or chock trailer wheels and support the tongue of the trailer with a jack stand
or blocks.
3. Remove the existing jack from the trailer tongue, saving the washers, bolts, and nuts.
4. Clean the surface of the trailer frame and the new jack’s mounting plate where the
two will meet. Place the jack through the existing jack hole.
5. Position the jack with the motor housing facing forward. Place star washers into
position at the mounting holes between the mounting pale and the trailer frame.
Grease the star washers to prevent corrosion.
6. Fasten the jack to the trailer frame with the original nuts, bolts, and washers.
Tightening all hardware to 15-20 ft. lbs.
7. This jack requires a lower support plate for safe operation. Do not operate the jack
without one in place. If necessary, install a lower support plate in the bottom of the
trailer frame.
8. Route the positive (black) wire toward the positive terminal on the power source. If
a wire extension is necessary, use no less than a 10-gauge wire. Secure loose wires
using cable ties.
9. Install the load lead of the fuse holder onto the positive (black) wire as close as
possible to the positive terminal on the power source by crimping or soldering the
connections.
10. Connect the line lead of the fuse holder directly to the positive terminal of the
power source.
11. The jack is currently grounded through the trailer at the star washers. However,
corrosion may eventually prevent a proper connection. Avoid losing your ground
by routing the negative (white) wire directly to the negative terminal on the power
source. If a wiring extension is necessary, use no less than a 10-gauge wire. Secure
loose wires using cable ties.
12. Check installation by activating the motor switch. If properly installed, the jack will
travel in both directions.
