INTERCONNECTION & OPERATION
16
OUTPUT
The OUTPUT RCA outputs provide a linear full-range audio signal for controlling additional amplifiers
such as the monoblock QM-ONE or an active subwoofer system. Use the RCA wire harness supplied
for this.
FREQ.
These controls determine the crossover frequency of the high-pass filter on the respective channel
pair if you have selected the switch position
HPF
in section 13. A good starting value is around
100 Hz
.
14
X-OVER MODE
If you are using the amplifier without an additional mono amplifier or an active subwoofer system, set
this switch on channel pair CH1/2 and CH3 / 4 to
OFF
. This amplifies the entire frequency range for
the four loudspeakers.
If you operate the amplifier with an additional mono amplifier or an active subwoofer system via
OUT-
PUT
(see Section 16), set this switch on the respective channel pair to
HPF
. This limits the frequency
downwards (see section 14.) The switch position
LPF
is of no use in this application example.
13
INPUT MODE
Set the switch to the
4CH
position.
10
BASS BOOST
With this switch you can set the bass boost (6 dB or 12 dB) on the respective channel pair, if you have
selected the switch position
OFF
in section 13. In the 0 dB switch position, there is no bass boost. Use
this switch with caution. A permanently too high bass level could damage the loudspeakers.
15
QUADLOCK PLUG OF THE VEHICLE
Please refer to the separately enclosed instruction sheet.
7
AUTO TURN-ON
Set the switch to the
ON
position. The amplifier then detects a voltage rise to 6 volts when the head
unit is turned on by a so-called “DC offset” and then turns on the amplifier. As soon as the head unit is
switched off again, the amplifier switches itself off.
9
POWER/PROTECT
If the LED lights up in blue, the amplifier is ready for operation. If the LED lights up in red, there is a
malfunction. Refer in this case to chapter
TROUBLE SHOOTING
on page 24.
17
CLIP LED
The CLIP LED lights up when the input signal is overloaded. Then turn the LEVEL controller (refer to
section 11) back accordingly until the LED goes out.
12
20-PIN WIRE HARNESS
Please refer to the separately enclosed instruction sheet.
Then connect the 20-pin plug to the amplifier.
8
LEVEL INPUT
These controllers determines the input sensitivity on each channel pair, to adapt the incoming signal
from the head unit.
