9 Replace the computer covers and power cord, turn on the computer, and verify that
the internal tape drive is operating properly.

Installing an Internal Tape
Drive with a SATA
Connector

To install an internal tape drive with a SATA connector:
1 Unpack the contents of your drive package. If any item is damaged, please contact
your place of purchase immediately.
2 In addition to the contents included with your tape drive, you need the following
items:
• A SATA host bus adapter (for SATA drives) that is properly installed and
configured in a host computer
• A 3.5-inch or 5.25-inch half-height bay
• A SATA data cable
