Balancing the Load Cells
This section describes how to balance the CubiScan 125’s
load cells.
Items Needed
•
Phillips Screwdriver
•
Small Flathead Screwdriver
•
50 lb Weight (it is recommended that the maximum
weight is used)
Complete the following steps to balance the load cells.
Balanced load cells report the same weight. There are
three load cells located at each corner of the CubiScan
125. To balance the load cells the CubiScan 125 must be
on.
1. Make sure that there is no air blowing on the
CubiScan 125, as this can disrupt the balancing
process.
2. Zero the scale by tapping the
Zero
button located on
the main screen.
3. On the CubiScan 125’s touchscreen, go to
Menu >
Diagnostics > Scale (1/2)
. This screen will display the
current weight in the
Wgt
field.
4. Using the Phillips screwdriver, remove the four
screws holding the load cell summing board lid in
place and remove the lid. Refer to
5. To balance the load cells you will need to adjust the
variable resistors, which are also known as
potentiometers or POTs. To adjust a POT, use the
small flathead screwdriver to rotate the screw. See
Rotating a POT clockwise will increase the added
