The wiring depicted in Figure 3
uses a generic two-channel data-acquisition device and a
single-channel amplifier and
may not resemble the configuration of your particular system
. For
instance, you may have a DAQ device with more than two channels.
5.2.1. Connection Details
Please follow the steps below to wire the SRV02 gyroscope system:
1. Before proceeding with the connections, make sure the Quanser HIL board is already installed
as discussed in [3]. If another data-acquisition device is being used, e.g. NI M-Series board,
please consult the appropriate documentation to ensure that the board is installed properly.
2. Connect the 5-pin-DIN to RCA cable between the terminal board analog output 0 connector and
the amplifier “From D/A” connector. This is illustrated by connection #1 in Figures Error:
Reference source not found and Error: Reference source not found.
3. Connect the 4 pin DIN to 6 pin DIN cable between the amplifier “To Load” connector and the
SRV02 plant “Motor” connector. This is illustrated by connection #2 in Figures Error:
Reference source not found and Error: Reference source not found.
4. Connect the 5 pin stereo DIN to 5 pin stereo DIN cable between the encoder connector on the
gyroscope module connector panel and the terminal board encoder input #1. This is illustrated
