Setting the Cutting Heights (Continued)
IMPORTANT
!
Ensure the power cord is disconnected from the mains supply and wait until the cutting
head has stopped rotating before adjusting the cutting height.
•
There are 4 different cutting heights. Figure 7 shows the lowest cutting height, 3 spacers. Figure
8 shows the highest cutting height, no spacers. Adding spacers reduces the cutting height,
removing spacers increases cutting height
•
Disconnect from the main electricity supply and wait until impeller
17
and the blade bolt
14
have
stopped rotating.
•
Turn your product upside down.
•
To remove the blade
15
and adjust the number of spacers
16
, use the spanner
10
to remove
blade bolt
14
. The spacers
16
and blade
15
can now be removed and the number of spacers
adjusted.
•
Spacers that are not being used can be stored on the spanner to prevent loss.
•
Refit the blade as described in blade maintenance.
A higher cut height (Fig 8)should generally be selected for the first cut of the season. When cutting
longer grass, cut the grass in 2 or more passes, first on a higher cutting setting then a lower cutting
setting. These techniques will help to a avoid over-stressing your grass.
In dense grass growth , only mow grass using half the available width of your lawn mower, this will
reduce load on the lawn mower
