4. Baffle and Blanket
The baffle board must be in contact with the mani-
fold at the back of the firebox. The ceramic blanket
should lay on top of the baffle board and manifold.
The baffle protection channel should be in position
and cover the front of the blanket and baffle board.

3. Chimney Fire
In the event of a chimney fire
• Have the chimney and adjacent structure inspected by
qualified professionals. Hearth & Home Technologies
recommends that NFI or CSIA certified professionals,
or technicians under the direction of certified
professionals, conduct a minimum of an
NFPA 211
Level 2
inspection of the chimney.
• Replace components of the chimney and appliance
as specified by the professionals.
• Ensure all joints are properly engaged and the
chimney is properly secured.
WARNING!
Risk of Fire! A chimney fire can perma-
nently damage your chimney system. Failure to re-
place damaged components and make proper repairs
can cause a structure fire.
Ceramic Blanket and Baffle Board are NOT in contact
with the back of the firebox.
Ceramic Blanket is NOT in contact with the back of the
firebox and NOT even with the Baffle Board in the front.
Ceramic Blanket is bunched up at the back of the firebox
and NOT even with the Baffle Board in the front.

WARNING
Fire Risk
Firebox damage due to improper baffle place-
ment is not covered by warranty. Operate the
wood burning appliance with the baffle in the
correct position only.
Not doing so could result in:
• Reduced efficiency
• Overheating the chimney
• Overheating the rear of the firebox
• Poor performance
Ensure correct baffle placement and replace baffle com-
ponents if damaged or missing.
CAUTION
The baffle boards are FRAGILE. Use extreme caution when
loading firewood to prevent:
• Cracking, breaking or damaging the baffle boards
DO NOT operate the appliance without baffle and ceramic
blanket.
