RETRACTABLE LAPBELTS
30. Retractable lapbelts may be used with a separate
manual or retractable shoulder belt.
31. These Retractable lapbelts are designed to be
installed onto a seat or barrier legs (II)
32. They should be installed so the lapbelt angles
comply with (EE)
33. They should be angled so that the webbing is
coming out of the retractor in a straight line, with
the webbing forming an angle of between 30-75
degrees the direction of the wheelchairs users hip
(EE)
INSTALLING SHOULDER BELT RETRACTOR
ANCHORAGE DIRECT TO FLOOR
34.
Temporarily place Bolt through Shoulder Belt
Retractor, L-Bracket and Washer (JJ).
35. Use L-Bracket as a template to mark centre hole for
drilling (KK).
36. Remove Shoulder Belt Anchorage and drill 3/8”
(10mm) hole through floor (LL). Clean out debris.
36. Remove Bolt, washer and Shoulder Belt Retractor
37. Place Bolt through washer and L-Bracket (MM).
