Installing Drives
The TS-x53B is compatible with 3.5-inch and 2.5-inch hard drives, and solid state drives.
Installing 3.5-inch Hard Drives
Warning
• Installing a drive deletes all data on the drive.
• Observe electrostatic discharge (ESD) procedures to avoid damage to components.

Power off the NAS.

Remove the front cover.
a.
Locate the locking mechanism on the left side of the NAS.
b.
Slide the lock down to release the front cover.
c.
Slide the front cover to the left and then pull.
