Printing Your Files

Printing Multiple Copies

The QMS 4525 printer can print up to 1000 copies of your file. (See
“Collating Output,” later in this chapter, for information on how colla-
tion affects multiple copies.)

Selecting the Default Copies

The system administrator chooses the default number of copies for all
print jobs through the Configuration menu. (See the system adminis-
trator's guide for additional information.) The default number of copies
are printed when the quantity is not specified first by the emulation
(application or printer language) or next by the DOC %%IncludeFea-
ture: numcopies
command (this includes the network print com-
mands).

Using QMS DOC

The QMS DOC command syntax for multiple copies is

%%IncludeFeature: numcopies (

number)

Your choice for

number may be any number between 1 and 1000. If

you use a number greater than 1000, only 1000 copies will print. If
you want multiple copies of a job collated, you must use the collate
command. (See the

QMS Crown Document Option Commands man-

ual for complete information.)

Using VMS Commands

If you are connected to the printer through a DECnet network, you
can use the VMS PRINT command qualifier COPIES to print multiple
copies.
