REPLACING THE DIAMOND BLADE
W
ARNING: BEFORE PROCEEDING TO REPLACE THE BLADE, MAKE SURE THAT THE MACHINE IS
DISCONNECTED FROM THE POWER SUPPLY.
Follow this pr
ocedure:
1. Remove the cover of the protective casing for
the blade (6).
2. Remove the blade-lock flange (7).
3. Remove the blade to be replaced (4).
4. Clean the flanges thoroughly (5).
5. Apply the new blade, taking particular care that
the blade rotating direction is as indicated by the
arrow on the blade itself (Fig. 14).
• Only use continuous rim wet diamond or
turbo blades.
• Only use 10" (250mm) blades with 5/8"
(16mm) arbor.
6. Mount the new blade-lock flange and the
protective casing cover.
THE USE OF ANY OTHER CUTTING BLADE (POINT 5) WILL RENDER THE GUARANTEE INV
ALID AND WILL
RELIEVE QEP FROM ANY RESPONSIBILITY FOR ACCIDENTS CAUSED BY IMPROPER USE.

Maintaining the water level in the tank.
4. Cleaning water pump and filter.
5. Checking the state of all the cables in the machine.
6. Carefully lubricating the guide and all the parts related to the sliding motion with the special lubricant supplied
with the machine.

All this work must be carried out in accordance with the instructions in this owner’s manual.
SPECIAL MAINTENANCE
Besides the weekly maintenance work, the QEP 83012 r
equires a series of operations which can be called “end
of use operations” and which are advisable above all if the machine is not used for a long period of time:
1.
Thorough cleaning of the tank to remove the entire cutting operations residue.
2. Thorough cleaning and lubrication of the moving parts, which are exposed to dampness and dirt.
3. Thorough cleaning of the water pump and the cooling system.
CLEANING THE W
ATER PUMP AND THE COOLING SYSTEM
If the water pump should stop supplying water to the blade:
1.
Unplug the machine from the power supply.
2. Check that the adjuster tap is turned on.
3. Check that the level of water in the tank is covering the pump fully.
4. Check that the pipe which goes from the pump to the blade casing is not obstructed.
5. Check that there are no stone chips obstructing the pump filter –

TER ON A REGULAR BASIS.

Check that the pump fan is not blocked and clean it to remove any leftover dirt.
