Password Setting
Superv isor Passw or d has higher priority than User Pas sw ord. You can use Supervisor
Passw ord w hen booting the system or entering BIOS Setup to modify all settings. Also you
can use User Passw or d w hen booting the system or enter ing BIOS Setup but can not
modify any setting if Supervisor Passw ord is enabled.
When User/Supervisor passw ord setting is selected, the follow ing message appears at the
center of the screen to assist you in creating a passw ord,
ENTER PASSWORD
Type the passw ord, up to eight characters, and press <Enter>. The passw ord typed now
w ill clear any previous ly entered pass w ord from CMOS memor y. You w ill be asked to
confirm the passw ord, type the passw ord again and press <Enter >. You may also press
<Esc> to abort the selection.
To disable pas sw ord, just press <Enter> w hen you are prompted to enter passw ord, a
message w ill confirm the passw ord being disabled. Once the pass w ord is disabled, the
system w ill boot and you can enter BIOS Setup freely.
PASSWORD DISABLED
If you have selected “
System
” in “Security Option” of “BIOS Features Setup” menu, you w ill
be prompted for the passw ord every time the system reboots or any time you try to enter
BIOS Setup.
If you hav e selected “
Setup
” at “Security Option” fr om “BIOS Features Setup” menu, you
w ill be prompted for the passw ord only w hen you enter BIOS Setup.
Boot with BIOS Defaults
If you have made all the changes to CMOS v alues and the system can not boot w ith the
CMOS values selected in setup, clear CMOS after pow er-dow n, then pow er on again.
System w ill boot w ith BIOS default settings.
