AWARD BIOS Description
Entering Setup
Power on the computer, when the following mess age briefly appears at the bottom of
the sc reen during the POST (Power On Self Test), press <Del> key or simultaneously
press the <Ctrl> + <Alt> + <Esc> key s, to enter the AWAR D BIOS CMO S Setup Utility.
Press <Del> to enter SETUP
Once you have entered, the Main Menu (Figure 1) appears on the screen. The main menu
allow s you to select from twelve setup functions and two exit c hoices. Use the arrow
keys to s elect among the items and press the <Enter> key to accept or enter the sub-
menu.

Load Fail-Safe Defaults
The Fail-Safe Defaults are secure and useful for system. It is recommended that users
load the Fail -Safe Defaults w hen the system is in trouble.
Load Optimized Defaults
The Optimized Defaults ar e common and efficient. It is recommended that users load
the optimized defaults first, then modify the needed configuration settings.
Standard CMOS Features Setup
The basic C MOS settings included in “Standard CMOS Features” are Date, Time, Hard
Disk Drive Types, Floppy Disk Drive Types, and VGA etc. Use the arrow keys to highlight
the item, then use the <PgUp> or <PgDn> keys to select the value desired in each item.
