NOTE: ECG recording viewed or printed at any
magnification other than 100% may appear distorted
and could lead to misdiagnosis.
NOTE: You will not be able to view your recordings or
utilize any of QardioCore’s analytical tools until you are
under the care of a physician. To gain access to these
features, you must create an account on the Qardio
App. One minute of your first recording will then be
automatically sent for analysis. Once you have received
the ECG analysis, you will have an access to viewing
that recording and subsequent recordings. This
service is not intended to replace medical advice, and
please seek professional medical assistance if you are
suffering from any medical problem.
IMPORTANT FACTS ABOUT ECG/EKG
AND SELF-MEASUREMENT
What is an electrocardiogram?
An electrocardiogram – often abbreviated as ECG
or EKG – is a test that measures the electrical activity
of the heartbeat. With each heartbeat, an electrical
impulse (or “wave”) travels through the heart.
This wave causes the muscle to squeeze and pump
blood from the heart.
Why is it done?
An ECG gives two major kinds of information. First,
by measuring time intervals on the ECG, a doctor can
determine how long the electrical wave takes to pass
through the heart. Finding out how long the wave takes
to travel from one part of the heart to the next shows if
the electrical activity is normal or slow, fast or irregular.
Second, by measuring the amount of electrical activity
passing through the heart muscle, a cardiologist may
