• Open the upper part of the appliance to vertical position (about 90 degrees).
•  Lift the handle up a little further allowing the top cover to be released from the 90 degree 

position. Place the top cover on the flat surface (table, counter etc).

• This position is ideal for vegetables and grills.

Note: The red light will be automatically turned on or off in a regular pattern during 
use, and the machine can control its temperature in a normal range.
CAUTION: Never touch the surfaces of the device while it is in operation. Use the 
handle latch to open the top cover. Be extra careful when removing hot food from 
the grill plates.
removing the plates:

• Always unplug the appliance and allow it to cool before removing the plates.
• Open the plates in vertical position. 
• To remove the bottom plate, press firmly the bottom plate release button and the plate will 

pop up slightly from the base. Grasp the plate with two hands and lift it out of the base.

• To remove the upper plate, press firmly the upper plate release button and the plate will pop 

up slightly. Grasp the plate with two and lift it out of the appliance.

positioning of the plates:

• To position the plates back into the appliance, make sure that the knobs located at the back 

of the plates are inserted in the slots located on the main body of the appliance.

• Then press the plates firmly downwards to the main body until they are securely fastened 

into place.
