8. PROBLEM SOLVING
Caution. Disconnect the pump from the power source BEFORE performing any work,
repair or maintenance on the equipment.
PROBLEMS
POSSIBLE REASONS
SOLUTION
The pump does
not run
1. The motor is rocked.
2. The voltage does not match.
3. Fuse or thermal protector makes
thepump stop running.
1. Send to the service center.
2. Check the voltage on the name plate.
3. Check the fuse or thermal protector.
The pump does
not pump properly
1. The head is too high.
2. The water level is too low.
3. The bottom valve is not in the water.
4. No water.
5. The inlet pipe is leakage.
1.Check the height of installation if it meets the
head.
2. Check the suction height.
3. Have the valve in the water.
4. Fill the pump with water.
5. Check whether the pipe is leakage.
The pump runs
but no water
1. The foot-valve is blocked.
2. The impeller is corrosive.
3. The bottom valve is not in the water.
4. No priming water.
5. The inlet pipe is leakage.
1. Check the suction height and re-install the
pump.
2. Replace the impeller.
3. Fill the inlet section with water.
4. Fill the pump with water.
5. Check whether the pipe is leakage.
The flow reduces
obviously
1. The foot-valve is blocked.
2. The head is too high.
3. The water level is too low.
4. The impeller is serious damage.
1. Clean or replace the foot-valve.
2. Check the height of installation whether is the
same as normal doing.
3. Check the suction height and re-install the
pump.
4. Replace the impeller.
The motor is
over heat
1. The voltage does not match.
2. Bad ventilation in the operation room.
1. Contact the electric power company to supply
stable voltage.
2. Have good ventilation.
The pump stops
soon after
starting
1. The motor is locked.
2. The voltage is too low.
3. Bad ventilation in the operation room.
1. Disconnect the pipe and send to the service
center.
2. Contact the electric power company to supply
stable voltage.
3. Have good ventilation.
