Remove the lid by gently rotating it 20° anticlockwise and
lifting it up from the base.

Plug in your devices and AC adapters. Position plugs
carefully to prevent collision with the lid when it is
closed.
The maximum load of the ES 01 is 2300 W for Types E, F,
F/L, G and J. Please note Type B has a maximum load of
1800 W. Please check the wattage of the devices you are
connecting are compatible.

To group your cables coming out of the ES 01 use the
rubber C-clip provided as illustrated in the diagram.

Replace the lid on the tower of the base and lock it by
gently rotating it 20° clockwise until the mechanism
stops. Do not use excessive force or you might damage the
locking mechanism.

Connect the ES 01 power-cord to a wall socket.

Push the on/off button on top of the ES 01 to switch on the
ES 01. The light of the power icon will illuminate to
indicate status is on.
Overload protection

In the event of the ES 01 being overloaded, the fuse will
automatically trip and cut the circuit. The reset button on
the underside of the base will protrude when tripped and
the power icon will switch off. To start up again simply
press the fuse reset button on the base.
Surge protection*

Voltage protection rating: L-N 500V, L-G 500V, N-G 500V.
When illuminated the surge protection status LED
indicates the surge protection circuit is functioning.
Please note that when the LED ceases to illuminate the
device is not protected and should be replaced.*Only
available on Type B.
Safety and handling
– For safety reasons and to prevent damage to the ES 01
always hold and carry it from the base, not from the lid.
– The ES 01 Extension Socket is designed for indoor usage
only.
– To prevent a short circuit, fire or damage to the product,
never expose the ES 01 to heat, water or direct sunlight.
– Please always hold the base when plugging and
unplugging power-cords or AC adapters into the ES 01.
– To unplug a power-cord or an AC adapter, always grip the
body connected to the socket. Never “rip” plugs out from
the base.
– Use a dry cloth to clean the ES 01 and ensure the device is
disconnected before cleaning.
– The ES 01 power-cord cannot be replaced. If the
power-cord is damaged the whole device should be
destroyed.
– Never connect the ES 01 to a similar device such as
relocatable power taps or other extension sockets.
