conditions of gravity, mechanical installation and additional cable or summing box resistance. It is a
good starting point and is suitable for many applications without fine tuning.
If you performed vCal by entering values in the 3 fields and at a later time you notice errors in
calibration you can adjust those values to fine tune accuracy.
•
Example:
If for instance you entered vCal with an estimated dead load of 1532kg and you
notice when the scale is empty it is still displaying 12kg, then enter 1532+12=1544kg for
estimated dead load, using the previously entered values in the other fields.
•
Example:
If for instance you entered vCal with an average load cell output of 2.054mV/V and
you notice that when you have a weight on the scale it is consistently weighing too high or too
low you can calculate an adjusted value for the mV/V.
◦
First determine a factor the inconsistency. If the scale has 30kg on it and shows 30.3kg the
factor is 30.3/30=1.01. It is best to record the inconsistency over a period of time with
different loads because the error may not be uniform over the whole weighing range, and
then calculate an average value for the factor. Let us assume the average factor is 1.015.
◦
Enter the value that you previously entered for load cell capacity.
◦
Enter the value that you previously entered for mV/V*1.015 for the new mV/V.
◦
Enter the value that you previously entered for Estimated Dead Load.
6.3.4 Gateway
The gateway tab in AzComT has additional configuration settings related to the fieldbus connection for
the PT113EN, PT113PB, PT113PN and PT113CO.
