Configuring the Forum 5004/5008/5012

Configuration

Basic Hardware Settings Switch

The Forum 5004/5008/5012 configuration can also be returned to the 
factory settings by means of the basic hardware settings switch. 

Please note:

If the factory settings are restored, all customer settings and 
user data will be lost.

To restore the Forum 5004/5008/5012 basic settings, proceed as follows:

1.

Switch off the Forum 5004/5008/5012 by disconnecting the power 
plug.

2.

Wall version: open the service panel.

3.

Set the installation switch to “0 - restore basic settings” (see 

Configuring 

Installation Switch

 starting on page 42).

4.

Replace the power plug in the mains socket. Wait about 45 seconds until 
the indicator (LED 3 and LED 4) of the Forum 5004/5008/5012 
constantly flashes green (1 Hz).

5.

Disconnect the power plug from the mains socket again.

The system data is now reset.

6.

Reset the installation switch to the previous setting. Replace the power 
plug in the mains socket.

The Forum 5004/5008/5012 will now reboot in the default configu-
ration. The procedure is completed when all connected system terminals 
show the time on their displays.

7.

Log on to the Web console (see 

Starting the Web Console

 on page 141). 

Configure the Forum 5004/5008/5012 (possibly by loading a saved 
configuration; see 

Saving and Loading the Configuration

 on page 144).
