If your TENS unit is not functioning correctly
1.
Make sure that the battery is correctly inserted or replace the
battery. When inserting a battery, make sure that the polarity
is correct.
2.
If the ON/OFF LED is flashing and there is no stimulation,
check that the leads are attached correctly and that the elec-
trodes are correctly positioned. If the unit seems to be func-
tioning, yet you still feel no stimulation, it is possible that the
electrodes or the leads need replacing.
3.
If the battery is charged but the unit is not working, turn both
intensity controls
(B)
to the OFF position (counterclockwise) and
then slowly back to the ON position.
• Do not place the unit in direct contact with water or other fluids.
• Switch the unit off when it is not in use.
• Before putting the
Promed tens 1000 s
into storage for a
longer period of time, remove the batteries from the compartment.
Leaking batteries can damage the unit.
• Keep the unit and its accessories in a cool, dry place in the case
provided.
• Handle the electrodes by their edges when removing them.
To avoid damaging them, never pull at the electrode leads
themselves.
• Do not make any sharp kinks in the connecting leads or
electrodes.
• After use, stick the electrode pad onto the protective plastic film.
• Do not expose the device to direct sunlight and protect it against
dirt and moisture.
• Never place any heavy objects on the device.
• You can clean your
Promed tens 1000 s
by wiping it over
carefully with a cloth moistened with mild soapy water. You
may also use isopropyl alcohol or a soap solution. Household
detergents and cleaning products are not suitable.
• The unit must not be returned to your dealer or the manufacturer
for inspection and recalibration. If you need such inspections
ore recalibrations because of your internal Quality Management
System don’t hesitate to contact Promed.
• If you should experience other problems, consult your dealer,
returning the unit if necessary. Never attempt to repair a fault
yourself.
